Persian Cats

The link I used is here and here.

If I didn't have a Maine Coon cat the Persian cat would be my favorite. Not only does it have a cool name, but it's nice and fluffy. Named after their country of origin, these cats are referenced as far back as 1684 B.C.

Persian cats are known for their long and luscious fur that can be multiple colors and for being the most popular cat.  They are nice, gentle creatures that will settle right at home. These cats feel the best when they are surrounded by love and calmness.

Persian cats are short but have very broad bodies. They like to have their feet firmly planted on the floor and will not climb or jump to high heights. They are playful, love to pose, and will drape themselves over you every chance they get.

But, unlike the Maine Coon cat, Persian cats have to be brushed constantly so they won't get knots. Coon cats fur is made to live outdoors, but the Persians is made to look at. Also unlike the Coon cat, Persians have to be bathed because they can't always clean themselves .

Persians are very beautiful though, and they come in an astonishing seven different colors. They are the second best cat that you could have for a pet in my opinion.

Maine Coon Cats

The link I used is here and here.

It's no lie that I love cats, but my favorite probably has to be the Maine Coon cat. My little princess Hazel is a Coon cat and I love her.

Maine Coon cats are the official cat of the state of Maine and was the first recognized breed of cat of Maine. Over years the Coon cat has evolved into a very strong species. These cats are built to survive the harshest winters in Maine.

The cat has very long with three distinctive lengths, a long fluffy tail, and paws that are very large in size and tufted so they can walk on ice and snow.

Though their size and reputation make them sound scary and mean, they are loving animals. They are very intelligent and kind. The friendliness they show towards humans makes us love them more. This cat is truly worthy of the nick name the "Gentle Giant."

The Maine Coon cat is also a natural hunter. My cat always chases flies around the house. This helps them survive in the wild.

Coon cats are also known to have a fondness for water. They like to look at it, play with it, sometimes even be in it. My cat loves to play with water.

Maine Coon cats are, in my opinion the best cats to have for a pet.

Plus, look how cute she is playing with water in the dish washer......

Different Types of Cats

The link I used is right here.

Cats are pretty cool creatures, but there are more than just one kind. The top 5 most popular cat breeds are Persian, Maine Coon, Exotic, Siamese, and the Abyssinian. Although, "The best cats are those that match your and your family’s lifestyle." --- Purina

Persian cats are usually white and have very long fur. They can be distinctly recognized by their round heads and short muzzles. Maine Coon cats are very similar, they also have very long fur and can be recognized by their round faces and short muzzles. But, that's where the differences stop. Coon cats are normally brown and really large, they are also natural hunters.

Next are the Exotic cats who were developed to be a short
haired version of the Persian cat. But, instead of being white like the Persian cat, Exotic cats are brown. The Siamese cat, on the other hand, is white like the Persian, but has extremely short hair, shorter hair than the Exotic cat. The Siamese cat is the first distinctly recognized breed of Oriental cat. This cat has a distinctly smaller head than most and big ears.

Finally, we come to the Abyssinian cat. This is a short haired cat with a very beautiful color for its coat. The Abyssinian cats color is brown, but not as brown as the Coon cat, a very light brown. This cat is very distinct because each individual hair is branded with a different color.

Cats are very mysterious creatures too.

“I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat.”

I have a Maine Coon cat, so I know for a fact that those are the best cats.

Scientific Reasons On Why Cats Are The Best

Here is a link you can use to learn more.

So, apparently cats aren't just great cuddlers, they help you medically. Research has shown the calming sound of a cat purring lowers your blood pressure and reduces stress. But, cats don't just pur when they're happy,“You can have cats that are happy and content purring, but also a cat that’s injured or sick will purr,” Cromwell-Davis explained.  Cats also help with your compassion gentleness skills. Studies show that children that grow up with a cat grow more in that area.

Did you know that cats and their humans can communicate with each other? Dr. Dennis Turner has used Information Theory to prove it. According to the data Dr. Turner has determined that individual cat and human pair uses a wide variety of behaviors to communicate. Some cats will rub their heads on you while others will rub their sides, those are ways they communicate with us. Cats will also vocally meow to talk to us when they need something. My cat scratches on the door when she wants to leave a room or enter one and she follows me around and meows when she's hungry, those are ways she communicates with me.

Also, cat meows were not initially created for cats to communicate with each other. In fact, they were created for cats to communicate with humans.

Just look at this cat trying to communicate with their owner.......

Cats Are Easier To Take Care Of

The link I used for this post is right here.

Cats are obviously the best pets someone could ever own. Not only are they loving and caring, they're easy to take care of.

I don't know about anyone else, but I like to go places during the day with my family. If you have a dog you can't do that. Dogs have to constantly be taken outside to do their business. Cats use a litter box. It takes less time to house train a cat and you don't have to bath a cat. Cats naturally clean themselves, which helps keep your house clean.

Cats are also cheaper than dogs. The average dog owner spends around $1,000 on food, insurance, and medical bills a year while the average cat owner only spends around $600 a year on the same things but add litter. Cats save you money and time.

Dogs need a lot of attention, if you leave them alone for too long they get scared anxious. If you want to leave town for the weekend while owning a dog you have to get a dog sitter, but with a cat you can just give it extra food and leave.
